About the Space

Tiger Mountain trails are a 5-minute walk from the house, and the Poo Poo Point trailhead is a 5-minute drive. Issaquah's Olde Town is a 10-minute walk for coffee, restaurants, and local shops. Bellevue and Seattle are about 20 minutes away. We're Erik and Azu — we live next door and designed this space with everything we'd want on a trip ourselves. You get your own private half of the duplex (2br/1ba) with a 6-foot privacy-fenced front and back yard. Traveling with dogs? We keep bowls on hand and the yard is fully enclosed. We've also stocked the kitchen with multiple coffee options and the bathroom with extras so you can settle in right away.

Overall a seamless and positive experience. I found Erik and Azu to be very responsive, proactive, and thoughtful hosts. This is definitely up there for one of the best sorted overall Airbnb experiences for me from A to Z. It was a pleasure staying at their place, cool vibe! It really helped us feel like home away from home, thank you for the thoughtful hand written card and chocolates! I would stay again in a heartbeat, A+ for being extra clean as well. Thank you both!

What a perfect place for me and my child to stay while work was being done on my house. The furnishings were tasteful and comfortable and the space was easy to feel at home in. All the amenities were as described and well thought out. Erik was an excellent communicator and answered any questions I had. He was very responsive and accommodating when we needed one more night to stay. The location is perfect and tucked away in Issaquah but within walking distance to our favorite restaurants, library, fun things to do in town and trails for hiking. This is a lovely and quiet place to stay and I highly recommend it. Great stay!

I had a very cozy and quiet stay at Erik and Azu's place. There was plenty of space, everything was very clean and comfortable, the layout was well thought out, and even though I didn't do any cooking, the kitchen was well-stocked with supplies if I'd needed to. There were also lots of helpful touches throughout, like ample power strips and device charging ports, several options for coffee, and a very well-stocked bathroom (spare toothbrushes, menstrual products, etc). The neighborhood was pretty and quiet, and very close (5-minute drive, 10-minute walk) to restaurants, coffee, and other necessities. They also had one of the most thorough and helpful guest books that I've seen, and the tone of it was so friendly and chill that I felt at home right away. Their communication was also great throughout, and it was nice to know they were right next door if I needed anything. I would happily stay again!

We had a fantastic stay at Erik and Azu's! My friend and I were in town for the Iron Horse Half Marathon and this was a quick drive from the start. The unit had everything we needed - quiet bedrooms, heating and cooling, laundry, coffee, etc. Kudos to them for having seemingly thought of every amenity you might need and extremely clear instructions to match! Erik and Azu were even extremely communicative and were able to accommodate a slightly early arrival and slightly late departure based on our flight times! And of course, the local welcome chocolates were an extremely sweet touch. Highly recommend staying in their beautiful, well-appointed home.

This is our second stay with Erik and Azu, and they are amazing hosts. We really enjoy the experience and amenities, and they are both very in tune with their guests and needs. The space is wonderful and close to the event that we attend yearly. The area is peaceful and beautiful, it's a short walk to old downtown and the local area is great. Kudos all around for a wonderful stay and weekend!

Words alone can't describe how grateful my wife and I are for Erik and his wife's hospitality. They graciously accommodated us and our pets and went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed. We opted for Airbnb accommodations, rather than hotels, during our move to Houston in the hopes that our dogs would be more comfortable. In Erik's lovely home, they were. The property was as described - beautifully cared for, stocked with all amenities, and nestled in a peaceful area. Highly recommend this place to anyone traveling through Issaquah, WA.

Erik was a fabulous host and communicator. Full kitchen, washing machine and dryer, nice private backyard. Apartment was very clean, spacious for our family of 3, and close to downtown Seattle, Redmond, and more. Perfect location to everything you may want from shopping, weekend farmer's markets, to hiking. Issaquah is a beautiful neighborhood with many independent businesses and excellent craft beer restaurants. We hiked Rainier - which was a 90 minute drive. Loved our stay and hope to book this location again in the future.

The central location and proximity to downtown was wonderful. Lots of great places to walk / hike with our dogs. We enjoyed eating at and recommend Jojo's restaurant. Khoa San Thai was delicious and had great service. Erik was very helpful and communicative. The fenced backyard is 6' privacy which was a big plus for our dogs and us.

Location

Issaquah, Washington — where mountain trails meet small-town charm

Tiger Mountain trails are a 5-minute walk from the front door, and Issaquah's historic Front Street is 10 minutes on foot for restaurants, coffee, and local shops. We fell in love with walkable cities living in New York, DC, and Philadelphia — but missed the mountains. When we moved back to the Pacific Northwest, we found a neighborhood with both. We chose this spot for exactly that combination and set it up so our guests can enjoy it the same way we do.
